The building has a long history, having previously served as both a fire station and a library. Today, The Lending Room is an established part of Leeds’ live music scene, regularly hosting emerging artists, local talent and touring acts across a broad range of genres, including indie, rock, punk and alternative music.
Over the years, the venue has hosted a number of established live music showcases, including This Feeling and 360 Club, the latter of which has played a role in supporting the early careers of artists such as Alt-J.
With dedicated live music facilities and a varied programme of events throughout the year, The Lending Room continues to support grassroots music and provide a platform for both developing and established performers.
